Diabetes and Distress

Presenter: Martha Funnell, MS RN CDE, FAADE

Martha Funnell is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Learning Health Sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School and adjunct faculty in the School of Nursing. She is a past President, Health Care and Education of the American Diabetes Association, past Chair of the National Diabetes Education Program and has received several national awards. She has more than thirty years experience as a Diabetes Educator with more than 175 publications and over 225 national and international presentations. She has also served as an investigator on multiple empowerment-based self-management research projects.

The Diabetes Nurse Interest Group (DNIG) , Mental Health Nurse Interest Group (MHNIG) and the Staff Nurse Interest Group (SNIG) of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) are pleased to share with you the second of three educational sessions for Fall 2015.
