The Diabetes Nurse Interest Group (DNIG) and the Mental Health Nursing Interest Group (MHNIG) of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) are pleased to invite you to three educational sessions on the assessment and management of diabetes and mental illness. Many persons are living with both illnesses, a dual combination that can significantly impact the quality of life. The sessions will be offered by webcast or videoconferencing through OTN.

Title: What's new/changed in the 2013 Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes in Canada
Presenter: Aileen Knip RN BScN MN CCHN(c) CDE
Aileen will be talking about recent updates to the CPG, which provide evidence-based recommendations for healthcare professionals to consider in the prevention and management of diabetes. Aileen brings many years of experience in diabetes management, research and education. She is on the Executive committee of the 2013 Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes in Canada and is co-author of the chapter on "Diabetes in the Elderly".
